Why Premier?

A Premier membership gives you direct access to Willie along with full access to every site within the Jazzedge network for one low price. Only a limited number of Premier students are accepted at one time.

Premier is for the student is is ready to get serious about their piano playing using a proprietary data-driven practice curriculum designed for each individual student by Willie.

Space is Limited

Premier membership is open limited times throughout the year

In order to give the best possible experience to my Premier students, I limit the number of students I let into the program at any one time. When the counter on this page reaches zero, you will be unable to apply for Premier until the next time the program opens up…and I don’t know when that will be.

Premier FAQ's

Most frequent questions and answers about Premier

Q: Can I cancel Premier at any time?

Yes. You can cancel your participation in the program at anytime. However, in order to see results, I suggest you remain a member for at least 6 months.

Q: Is Premier coaching included?

Yes! One of the best parts of Premier is that you get coaching weekly directly with Willie. The class sizes are small which means the coaching session is more personal and relaxed.

Q; What are the benefits of a Premier membership?

As a Premier member, you get access to all sites across the Jazzedge network. This includes full access to Jazzedge, Jazz Piano Daily, Jazz Piano Lessons, HomeSchoolPiano, Jazz Christmas Music, Summer Piano Jam and TheTotalMusician. You also get access to all workshops and live trainings that I give over the year.

Q: Do Premier members get access to live coaching with other teachers?

Yes. In addition to the weekly coaching with Willie, Premier members can also join coaching sessions with Paul and live training sessions with Mike Marble and Anna Rizzo.

Plus, Premier members get full access to special workshops with even more teachers!

Q: How does one get scheduled for the coaching session and is the schedule fixed or can it be changed to accomodate a student's schedule?

The coaching times are Mondays and Thursdays at 2pm ET. If you can not join during those times you will have the option of submitting your video and question via the Jazzedge Practice Curriculum™ in your account. I will then answer your questions and give feedback which you can then watch on the replay. You do not have to be in the coaching sessions live. You can submit and catch the replay.

Q: Are there makeup opportunities or if you can't make it to a coaching session?

This is not necessary since you can submit your questions and video ahead of time for feedback. If you can’t make it to a live session, just record your video and submit it up to 5 days ahead of the next coaching session.

Q: Who should join Premier?

Before deciding to join Premier, you should have some basic music knowledge. This includes knowing the notes of the keyboard, knowing basic rhythms, a couple of scales and a basic understanding of chords.

It’s also suggested that you know how to play a couple of songs.

Premier is NOT RIGHT FOR YOU if you answer ‘yes’ to any of the following:

  • I’m kind of impatient and I want to see results right away
  • I don’t like to ask questions if I don’t know something
  • I don’t like a bunch of “talking,” just show me the notes
  • I’m looking for the cheapest solution to learn piano
  • I only practice when I feel like it or not at all
  • I have a good practice plan to follow and don’t need any help

Premier is RIGHT FOR YOU if you answer ‘yes’ to these questions:

  • I know results take time and I’m willing to work for them
  • If I have a question, I ask! After all, you’re my teacher!
  • I realize that teaching is about showing examples and explaining them to me so I can better learn and retain the information
  • I’m willing to invest in my playing and I know working with a talented team of teachers has value
  • I practice at least 4 days a week for 30 minutes or more. I know sometimes it will be less when life gets in the way but I try to keep a consistent practice schedule to see results
  • I am always looking to improve my piano practice and I’m open to receiving more direction

Q: How much individual attention can be expected and what does one do for the 90 minutes while others are receiving attention?

I spend “roughly” 7 minutes per student in group coaching. This changes depending on the needs of the student. Of course, I’ve done this long enough to know to not spend too much time and lose the interest of the group. So, I’ve found 7 minutes to be enough time for me to give students clear direction that they can follow.

Premier students are able to ‘reserve’ their coaching slot before each session. Let me explain in more detail…

5 days before the session, or up to 12 hours before the session students can click the “Reserve Your Spot” button on the event page to lock-in their slot. This will give you a spot number and an approximate time that I will be getting to your question.

This is optional of course. You do not need to reserve your spot if you are just going to attend and watch.

However, if you want feedback on your playing, this is a great way to save your spot so you know roughly when to expect my feedback.

If you’re spot #10 (which means you’re at the end) you might decide to not come into the session until much later.

This is also great for the replays because knowing your spot means you know where in the replay to find my feedback.

Students are also welcome to leave the session or turn off their camera at any time.

Students are not required to stay for the entire session.

Q: I can not join the live coaching. Do you think I would get the same benefits as others who participate?

Yes you will.

In creating the program, I knew that not every student will be able to attend the live sessions.

This is why we’ve made it possible for students to be able to submit their questions and video for feedback before the session.

Then, just watch the replay to hear my response and advice to you.

Q: What is the Jazzedge Practice Curriculum™?

As a Premier member, you get exclusive access to the Jazzedge Practice Curriculum.

This is an exciting, new, individualized practice program that is designed specifically for each student.

During each coaching session, Willie will assess where you are in your playing and update your JPC with new material making it easier to practice.

Practice material will focus on both Foundational and Fun’dational learning. Both of these principles are part of the core Jazzedge  Pedagogy which helps students learn songs while also developing all the “must haves” to be a good piano player in any style.

Q: What happens when the program is closed down?

If you sign up before the deadline, then you’re in as a Premier member.

However, if you miss the deadline, you’ll need to wait until the next time we open up the program for enrollment.

There is no set schedule of when the Premier program will open again.

It might be a couple of months from now, or longer. It depends on my schedule and the needs of my current Premier students.

When the program closes down, you can still submit your Premier application and you’ll be notified if a spot opens up.

Q: Can I roll over the balance of my present membership?

YES! If you have a membership to any other Jazzedge site, just write in after purchasing Premier and I’ll prorate and refund your unused balance back to your payment method.

I can not create a coupon and discount the purchase price. I need to process it as a refund, which I will do promptly.
